Last November 25-27, 2020, the Ateneo de Davao University participated in the Virtual QS Asia-Pacific Professional Leaders in Education (APPLE) 2020 Conference & Exhibition with the theme, “New Global Partnerships for Resilience and Climate
Action.” The virtual conference brought together experts, thought leaders, educators, and students all around the world to discuss and share their best practices, case examples, and partnerships, to create a united way forward for higher education in the Asia Pacific.
The event assisted the universities to increase brand visibility by targeting well-known and reputable foreign higher education institutions. It also unlocked innovation by delivering more effective experiences to potential audiences, enhanced brand interaction by focusing on user-friendly social interaction and collaboration, and attained valuable lead data by understanding the priority and target areas of the attendees.
Several keynote addresses, panel, and breakout sessions from esteemed panelists, discussants, and resource speakers from various academic institutions and international organizations highlighted different topics such as strategies, pedagogies, opportunities in the education delivery, and research activities, as responses to the global situation. It is also in this conference that the AIM Website won the Gold Award for the Best International Website Page in the QS APPLE 2020 Creative Awards. Among the nominees were other Higher Education Institutions from around the world.
This recognition was awarded during the QS APPLE 2020 Conference, bringing pride to the AIM Office given the in-house design and development of the website, courtesy of AIM’s International Program Officer, Ms. Lyd Ejira Ducusin.
