In pursuit of academic excellence and global engagement, Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) has formalized its partnerships with Regis University (RU), Colorado, USA, and the University of Northampton (UON), UK. These collaborations are poised to expand the ADDU academic landscape to incorporate international and cross-cultural exchange.

The collaboration with Regis University began with a consultative engagement regarding the development of a proposed curriculum for the Doctors in Nursing Program (DNP) within ADDU’s School of Nursing, headed by its Dean, Dr. Liza G. Floresca. Driven by a shared commitment to excellence in the health sciences and nursing education, this initial interaction laid the foundation for a robust partnership. In fact, among the signatories of the MOU is Dr. Linda Osterlund, the Academic Dean of Regis University, whose pivotal role as a consultant in the DNP program underscored the depth of expertise brought to the table. This partnership is extremely valuable to ADDU as the RU delegates are not only esteemed collaborators but also valued colleagues.

Another new partnership that is noteworthy is the one recently formalized with the University of Northampton, which was signed as a launchpad for a Progression agreement for ADDU participation in the UON Top-Up Program. This initiative paves the way for ADDU graduates to pursue a second undergraduate degree from UON within an extra year of undergraduate study in the UK.

The Schools of Business and Governance (SBG), Arts and Sciences (SAS), and Education (SOE) at ADDU have incorporated various courses into the Progression Agreement with UON. By virtue of this agreement, after acquiring their ADDU Degrees, the students can go to UON for a year and earn the following degrees through the Top-Up Program: BA International Education, BA Marketing Management, BA Global Business Management, BA Commerce and International Business, BS International Finance BSc, MS Accounting and Finance, BS International Accounting, BS International Banking and Finance, and BS Computing.

The recent collaborative efforts among Ateneo de Davao University, Regis University, and the University of Northampton exemplify a steadfast commitment to strategic internationalization within ADDU. This dedication is further bolstered by the academic units’ openness, enabling the University to establish profound international connections.
