The conduct of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Yunus Center’s 10-day In-country Module on “Financial and Economic Planning for Hydropower Projects” at Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Staff College has been completed with ADDU-CREATE/MREC researchers as the lead resource persons. The training was held on December 5-16, 2022, in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Dr. Renyl Barroca of Ateneo de Davao University conducted an interactive lecture with the staff of the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) about financial analysis tools for hydropower projects in Islamabad, Pakistan.

ADDU-CREATE researchers have been invited to capacitate WAPDA, a government-owned public utility on power and water in Pakistan, in its financial and economic planning for hydropower projects through its engagement with the Yunus Center of Asian Institute of Technology. The other resource speakers are CREATE Director Dr. Nelson Enano and Assistant Dean Dr. Renyl Barroca.
ADDU-CREATE hosts and chairs the Mindanao Renewable Energy R&D Center (MREC), a niche collaborative center on renewable energy supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
