The Ateneo de Davao University hosted the Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the 부산가톨릭대학교 Catholic University of Pusan, South Korea, on 22 October 2022 via Zoom video conference.
As expressed in the MOU, the Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) and the Catholic University of Pusan (CUP) hope to facilitate mutual friendship and international academic cooperation between the institutions while acting in good faith in the accomplishment of programs for academic and cultural exchange, joint research, meaningful conference, and other pursuits.
The collaboration originated in the previously concluded Association of Southeast and East Asian Catholic Colleges (ASEACCU) Conference hosted by the Saint Paul Institute in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The ceremonial signing was represented by CUP President, Rev. Hong Kyungwan, and was joined by CUP Vice-President, Rev. Youm Cheol-ho; the Dean of Academic Affairs, Mr. Park Min-cheol; and the External Affairs Officer, Mr. Gong Do-yeong. Meanwhile, ADDU was represented by its President, Fr. Joel E. Tabora, SJ; and the Director of the Ateneo Internationalization for Mindanao Office, Mr. Romulo Vinci R. Bueza.
It is the goal of the assembly that the partnership will be as friendly as its beginnings and fruitfully long-lasting through the signing of this memorandum of understanding.
