The AIM Leadership Camp 2020 will be dubbed as Panag-uban – the Visayan term for camaraderie. The central theme of the camp revolves around the word camaraderie or the trust and friendship among people who spend a lot of time together. It aims to strengthen the bonds of Ateneo International Students not only with each other but also with themselves being honed as leaders for Mindanao.

On the first day of the camp was jam-packed as four leadership formation sessions were given. The first session was entitled Who Am I? My Self-Awareness and Personhood was discussed by Dr. Gina R. Lamzon, Assistant Director of Center of Psychological Extension and Research Services (COPERS). It was then followed by a talk on The Mindanao Contexts: Historical and Current by AIM Director – Mr. Romulo Vinci R. Bueza.

During the afternoon sessions, the participants learned about the topics of Leadership and the Common Good and Leadership and Global Citizenship from resource speakers Mr. Lunar T. Fayloga (Chairperson, Theology Department) and Ms. Ivy Jane A. Torregosa (Volunteer, Cardoner Program) respectively. All these brain boggling sessions was followed by a physically challenging Amazing Race course. Later in the evening, the participants bonded together in a heartwarming Solidarity Night program.

On the second day, the session on ADDU sui generis Leadership was discussed by Arrupe Office of Social Formation Director, Ms. Lilibeth L. Arcena. The final synthesis was given by AIM Director Vinci Bueza in a form of group and subgroup sharing.
