Last August 2019, the International Studies Department hosted a visiting scholar, Mr. Enrico Cau of Tamkang University Graduate Institute of International Affairs and Strategic Studies, Taipei, Taiwan. Professor Cau was doing research on East Asian international security, and in the process, was able to share his knowledge and insights about contemporary political and security issues to the students taking IS majors. Mr. Cau has been among the scholars in close collaboration with the International Studies Department. Last 2018, he has presented in an international conference hosted by the Philippine International Studies Organization (PHISO) and Ateneo de Davao University.
