The Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) welcomed guests from the U.S. Embassy, Jakarta, and Manila Public Affairs Section for a courtesy visit on 16 November 2023.
The guests included Ms. Marcy Carrel, Regional Public Engagement Specialist (REPS), U.S. Embassy, Jakarta; Ms. Netty Lombardo, Regional Public Engagement Assistant, U.S. Embassy, Jakarta; and Ms. Jennifer Anne Pascua, American Spaces Program Coordinator at the U.S. Embassy, Manila. The visit aims to strengthen cultural ties, promote educational initiatives, and celebrate the enduring friendship between the Philippines and the United States. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the University President, Fr. Karel San Juan, SJ.
As the visit concluded, both the Ateneo de Davao University and the U.S. Embassy affirmed their commitment to furthering collaborative efforts in education, culture, and diplomacy. The visit contributed to the continued strengthening of the enduring partnership between the Philippines and the United States.
