The Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) is proud to host a diverse cohort of international students for the current semester, furthering its commitment to global education and cultural exchange. The University has opened its doors to students from partner institutions abroad, showcasing its dedication to fostering a vibrant and inclusive academic environment.

This semester, ADDU is pleased to welcome Mr. Ian Murphy, an exchange student hailing from Nipissing University, Canada, and Ms. Noémie Crouquet, an international intern from the University of Liège, Faculty of Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, in Belgium. These students are part of academic and internship programs that provide them with unique opportunities to learn, collaborate, and contribute to the academic community.

Mr. Ian Murphy joins ADDU from Nipissing University, where he is pursuing an Honours Program for a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. As a participant in the exchange program, Mr. Murphy is hosted by the ADDU School of Business and Governance. This academic collaboration allows him to immerse himself in a new educational environment, experience diverse teaching methods, and engage with fellow students from different cultural backgrounds. Mr. Murphy’s presence at ADDU extends throughout the fall semester, allowing him to fully embrace the campus experience and contribute to the University’s academic discourse.

Additionally, ADDU is delighted to host Ms. Noémie Crouquet, a Master of Bioscience Engineering student at the University of Liège, specializing in Environmental Science and Technology. Her internship is centered around her collaboration with the ADDU Center for Renewable Energy and Appropriate Technologies (CREATE). This partnership allows her to leverage her academic expertise in an applied setting, contributing to real-world projects and initiatives. Ms. Crouquet’s internship spans from 03 July to 30 September 2023, during which she will work alongside experts in the field to explore innovative solutions and approaches within the realm of renewable energy and appropriate technologies.

The presence of these international students reflects ADDU’s commitment to providing a holistic educational experience that transcends borders. The exchange and internship programs not only enrich the academic landscape but also promote cross-cultural understanding and collaboration. The University believes that fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment benefits all students by exposing them to a variety of perspectives and approaches.

As the fall semester progresses, ADDU continues to build bridges of academic exchange, welcoming students like Mr. Ian Murphy and Ms. Noémie Crouquet, who bring with them unique experiences, skills, and passions. Their contributions to the campus community and their engagement with local initiatives exemplify the University’s dedication to global education and its role in shaping responsible and culturally aware global citizens.
