Ateneo de Davao University’s Ateneo Sidlak Performing Arts Collective (ASPAC) hailed as the Overall Champion of the 2023 Asia Pacific Arts Festival (APAF) in Bangkok, Thailand.

The highly anticipated art festival gathered participants from across the region, providing an opportunity for ASPAC to showcase their exceptional talent and compete for the coveted back-to-back festival champion title. Comprising a group of 19 talented dancers, ASPAC exemplifies the University’s commitment to nurturing artistic excellence.

In 2019, ASPAC achieved resounding success, clinching the overall festival champion and the esteemed gold distinction award with their mesmerizing Maguindanaoan Repertoire. This year, the group takes center stage once again, performing a M’ranao repertoire and competing against other ASEAN countries, meticulously coached and choreographed by Mr. Warnher Amparo Laga. These enchanting performances draw inspiration from the rich and diverse cultures of Mindanao.

Congratulations to the Ateneo Sidlak Performing Arts Collective! Ad majorem Dei gloriam!
