1. Sogang International Summer Program (SISP) (Sogang University, South Korea)
27 June – 23 July 2026
SISP is a 4-week program for students who wish to broaden their academic experience. It is also a great opportunity to explore Korea and engage in cultural exchanges with students and faculty members from around the world. By joining our program, students may combine intensive classwork with exciting field trips and various extracurricular activities alongside Sogang University students.
2. Global Skills: Thailand 2026 (Bangkok, Thailand)
18- 29 May 2026
Global Skills: Thailand 2026 is a two-week immersive program in collaboration with the Wilson College of Business at the University of Northern Iowa that blends authentic Thai cultural experiences with hands-on global business training, corporate visits, community engagement, and intercultural skills development to prepare students for success in international settings.
3. East Asia Research Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) 2026 (Singapore)
28 July 2026
The research offers students the opportunity to present their research through a poster session, engage with international scholars and policymakers, join practical career workshops, and gain early exposure to academic and professional standards while representing their institution on a global stage.
The SEA-CICSIC 2025 Competition provides a regional platform for students to participate in this global event. It aims to foster cross-cultural collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship among university and college students from Southeast Asian countries. The competition seeks to enhance mutual understanding while encouraging students to develop and apply innovative solutions to address regional and global challenges.
The China International College Students’ Innovation Competition (CICSIC) is a premier global event that brings together university and college students from around the world to engage in innovation and entrepreneurship. It offers a platform for participants to showcase their ideas, collaborate with others, and explore innovative solutions that contribute to sustainable development.

We would like to share with our Higher Education Unit students the mobility opportunities from our international partner institution, the University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP).
UMAP is an association of Higher Education Institutions, governments, and NGO partners in the Asia Pacific region.
As a member of UMAP, ADDU students are eligible to participate in their various program offerings:
• Program A is an exchange program through which UMAP-participating institutions send and receive up to two students with tuition waivers each semester;
• Program B is a negotiated bilateral exchange between two institutions that have agreed to exchange more than two students per semester; and
• Program C are short-term (one to eight-week long) programs offered by UMAP-participating universities/institutions. Programs are available in a wide range of disciplines: cultural studies, language proficiency courses, vocational training, entrepreneurship, and more.
All program offerings are available on their virtual platform, the UMAP Student Connection Online (USCO) system.
The USCO system is a comprehensive platform for sharing program information, processing student applications, and supporting communication between students, home institutions, and host institutions. It has been upgraded to USCO 2.0 which offers more flexibility and functionality. The system will send notifications of status changes, actions needed, etc.

FACULTY AND STAFF
1. EXPLORE Leadership Development for Mid-Career Roles in Academia (CHRIST Deemed to be University, Bangalore, India)

This programme is designed for mid-career faculty in leadership roles who wish to unlock their leadership potential through expert-led, practical, and engaging learning modules.
2. Master Training Programme for Capacity Building in Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) (CHRIST Deemed to be University, Bangalore, India)
23-28 March 2026
This programme is organised under the Knowledge for Change (K4C) India Hub, in collaboration with the UNESCO Chairs Dr Rajesh Tandon and Prof Budd Hall (Community-Based Research and Social Responsibility in Higher Education and PRIA International Academy). The highlight is a one-week residential training which will be held at CHRIST University, Bangalore Central Campus, from March 23 to 28. Participants will explore CBPR principles, ethics, tools, and practices to build stronger Community-University partnerships and co-create impactful, socially relevant knowledge. This opportunity is ideal for faculty, researchers, doctoral scholars, and development practitioners passionate about participatory and community-engaged research.
The SEED-2 Program is an expansion of the Canada-ASEAN Scholarships for Educational Exchanges and Development (SEED), which supported eight cohorts of students from 2018 to 2026 and awarded more than 1,000 scholarships across the ASEAN region. SEED-2 is a key initiative under Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, providing scholarship opportunities for students from ASEAN Member States, Pacific Island Countries and Mongolia to undertake short-term studies or research (4-8 months) in Canadian post-secondary institutions in areas that contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The scholarship is an initiative of the MHESI aimed at promoting higher education, strengthening international cooperation, and supporting human capital development among all nationalities under the Thailand Scholarships Group 2 scheme. The program offers over 170 scholarships covering more than 200 programs in the Master’s and Doctoral levels, as well as exchange and training programs.
5. DUO-Belgium/ Wallonia-Brussels Programme 2026
The DUO-Belgium/Wallonia-Brussels Programme is managed by the Academy for Research and Higher Education (ARES) with an aim to promote exchanges of people between Belgium/Wallonia-Brussels and Asian ASEM member countries on a balanced and permanent basis. Under the DUO-Belgium/Wallonia-Brussels Fellowship, professors/researchers of Asian universities can have financial support for their exchanges with Belgium/Wallonia-Brussels. The call for applications is open until 13 March 2026 at 12h local Belgian time.

7. ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholarship (ACYLS) 2026
The ACYLS is a merit-based scholarship program funded by the ASEAN-China Cooperation Fund (ACCF) which provides support for ASEAN nationals, particularly young and promising leaders with working experience, to pursue Master’s or doctoral degrees, undertake short-term research programs, and participate in training courses in top Chinese universities. The 2026 intake of ACYLS will provide a full scholarship award to ASEAN nationals to pursue Master’s and doctoral degree programs covering all program-related expenses such as: (i) tuition and other school fees, (ii) accommodation, (iii) round-trip international airfare, (iv) comprehensive medical insurance, and (v) stipends.
