The Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU), through the Ateneo Language Center (ALC) and the Ateneo Internationalization for Mindanao (AIM) Office, offers the <\/span>Intensive English Language Program <\/b>to the undergraduate students of ADDU\u2019s partner higher education institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n

This program is a one-month on-site\u00a0<\/span>English<\/span>\u00a0language course and is offered to the undergraduate students of our partner institutions. It is designed to provide learners with\u00a0<\/span>intensive<\/span>\u00a0training toward\u00a0<\/span>English<\/span>\u00a0proficiency. This entails skills enhancement to expand vocabulary, polish pronunciation, and boost communication skills. Hence, the\u00a0<\/span>English<\/span>\u00a0Language Course\u2019s provision of in-depth sessions for a well-rounded learning experience for\u00a0<\/span>English<\/span>\u00a0speaking, listening, reading, and writing.<\/span><\/p>\n

The program is also infused with cultural learning immersion that introduces the history and heritage of Davao City, Mindanao, through study tours and academic dialogue.<\/span><\/p>\n

And as part of the University\u2019s efforts to foster Globally-Networked Learning Environments, the English Language Program invites international participants to a learning environment where they can improve their English language skills and comprehension. The program, therefore, provides in-depth sessions (e.g. speaking, listening, reading, and writing) for a well-rounded understanding of the English language. Instructors and experts from the Ateneo Language Center will facilitate the course and evaluate the participants.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Each batch of the four-week <\/span>Intensive English Language Program <\/span>will host at most sixty (60) participants from partner higher education institutions abroad. The participants will be nominated by their home institutions and have to submit their applications via the nomination vetting process.<\/span><\/p>\n

The students will be accompanied by their faculty companion\/s or chaperone\/s during the arrival and departure. The sending institution can also designate a faculty companion who wishes to stay with the participants for the duration of the program.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sessions<\/strong><\/p>\n

The sessions will take on many formats, including virtual and on-site orientations, lectures, study visits, and other activities that will further the participants\u2019 learning and experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Certification<\/strong><\/p>\n

Upon the program\u2019s conclusion, the participants will receive a\u00a0Certificate of Completion<\/strong> and\u00a0Transcript of Records issued by the ADDU Registrar<\/strong> (with credits).<\/p>\n

Program Fee<\/strong><\/p>\n

The program fee covers the welcome kits, accommodations, immigration fees, special student ID, library and internet access, learning materials, and modules for the entirety of the program. The participants are expected to cover their meals, airfare, and travel insurance.<\/p>\n
